Combining art and fashion is not a new concept to the French fashion maison, Louis Vuitton, whose creative director Marc Jacobs has forged close ties with contemporary artists. This time around, Japanese pop artist Yayoi Kusama is the focus of Jacobs’ whimsical collaboration with her signature bold, graphic polka dots, the theme of the special Louis Vuitton - Yayoi Kusama Pop-Up stores across the globe.
LV also published two beautiful commemorative books, one about the career of the famed artist with vibrant photographs depicting her works of art and creative genius, and the other Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, with artwork by Yayoi Kusama.
Only seven Pop-Up Stores across the globe were created, alongside similar stores in fashion capitals Paris, London, Tokyo, New York and Hong Kong. The Pop-Up store is open to art and fashion lovers till 1 November 2012 at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Ngee Ann City, Singapore.

Looking at his masterful drawings, it’s hard not wonder how someone could reach such heights and still have time to eat and sleep.
More cartoonish pieces of whales and elephants in winter hats showcase Fan’s depth of creativity as well as skill.
