Twitter News of the Day: Twitter announced that the opening ceremony of the London Olympics resulted in more than 9.66 million games-related tweets, which is more than the entire Beijing Olympics in 2008. Mobile phone meets luxury biker pants. The Mobiado CPT003 is a prestgious concept phone from luxury goods producer Mobiado. It is intended to show off potential future developments in Mobiado’s line of luxury phones. What does that mean? Unless you consider gold zippers a radical innovation in design for a mobile, it’s somewhat of a mystery.
Mobiado’s latest concept is wrapped in fine Italian leather with inlaid gold zippers. The whole thing is sewn together with gold thread, and the volume and power buttons are both solid gold. And the touch-screen is constructed from a single piece of sapphire crystal. All told, (again, besides the zippers), that’s not really a huge departure from everything else we’ve seen on the luxury market.
What are the technical specs for this concept phone? With Mobiado, that’s part of its appeal, but let’s assume it comes cholk-full of the latest goodies to keep you well-connected.
Bally’s men’s West H. Sneaker collection makes it easy to show your national pride and share the Olympic spirit of London 2012. Twelve leather casual sneakers show support for your home country from head-to-toe.
Then and now. The look of USA basketball’s dream team has changed in twenty years, but the goal remains the same. GOLD. Five members of the gold medal winning line-up from the 2008 Bejing Games have been included in the 12-man US Olympic basketball team. LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Deron Williams return for another bid for Olympic glory in London where the US are the heavy favorites.
