A Frank Lloyd Wright designed home in Phoenix Arizona is facing demolition if a buyer cannot be found. Real Estate development firm 8081 Meridian, LLC has plans to split the property “requiring relocation of all existing structures on the site.” A sixty day waiting period that expires the 21st of August is counting down before development continues.
According to a member of The Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy it would be the first intact structure designed by the famous architect to be destroyed in 40 years.
In 1991 Wright was honored by the American Institute of Architects as the “greatest American architect of all time.” His designs are considered iconic and part of the fabric of American architectural identity.
